Lobbies by Appointment
The Dime Bank's goal is to always bring you the best in banking! We realize with COVID numbers on the rise, we need to limit our exposure to one another in order to keep everyone healthy and to keep our branches staffed to continue to be available for you.
Therefore, effective Monday, December 21, 2020, The Dime Bank lobbies will be available by appointment. If you need in-person assistance, please call 570-253-1970, select option 8, and you will be able to choose your branch location.
As of Wednesday, December 30, 2020, our Lake Region branch offers drive through services only.
Our helpful and welcoming staff will prepare your documents in advance and set an appointment so that you can be in and out of our branch quickly.
For your convenience, most teller line items can be processed at our drive through lanes without calling in advance. Our ATMs are a quick way to get cash, make deposits (except for downtown Hawley ATM, which does not accept deposits), and check your account balances. Our night drop banking is always available to securely drop off deposits after hours, available at all branches.
Please continue utilizing our digital banking services that allow you to conveniently manage your accounts 24/7/365 from the convenience of your home or anywhere.
For more information, please visit our COVID-19 page.
Thank you for your understanding as we keep everyone safe and healthy.
Statement and Tax Document Delays
Customer statements and tax documents may be delayed due to the United States Postal Service delays. USPS is experiencing unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of COVID-19. This is a great time to sign up for eStatements – they arrive faster than paper statements! Electronic statements (eStatements) are just like paper statements, except more convenient, environmentally-friendly, secure, and free. Enrolling is easy! Learn more by visiting our eStatement page.
Economic Impact Payments Information
The Treasury Department announced that the Internal Revenue Service has begun processing ACH files of direct deposit payments for the second round of Economic Impact Payments. The Internal Revenue Service will also send Economic Impact Payments via check and prepaid cards over the course of the next few weeks. These are expected to look the same as the previous round of Economic Impact Payments issued earlier this year.
You can easily monitor your accounts at The Dime Bank, Member FDIC, for incoming ACH deposits by setting up an alert within Dime On Line. Under the Options Tab, select Alerts and set up an Event Alert. You can also use our automated telephone banking system to check your account's balance and transaction history by calling 1-866-342-5693.
You may check the status of your payment at IRS.gov/GetMyPayment. For more information about Economic Impact Payments, please visit IRS.gov/EIP. Please remember, the IRS will not call, text, email, or contact you on social media asking for personal or bank information.
Monitoring Your Credit History is Important!
The three national credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion are still providing free “weekly” credit reports via the www.AnnualCreditReport.com portal through April 2021 to allow for Americans to maintain credit awareness, since some may be anxious about their financial well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. The free report does not include your credit score. With an increase in fraud and the desperate times some have been experiencing throughout the pandemic, now is an important time to monitor your credit history.
